Latest Updates from Our Project:

Preliminary card deck done!
over 4 years ago – Fri, Aug 30, 2019 at 09:50:37 PM

That actually went pretty well, all things considered! Sixty-three cards in the proper 3.5x5" format used for Decks of Destiny, with layout template thoughtfully and kindly provided by SJG. These naturally feature the creatures from these adventures, with one special guest star.

I have sent out preview files to about 50 folks, just to look at and see if there are any egregious errors. Once that feedback comes in, and after fixing anything that SJG tells me to fix, the creative work for the project will be complete and I'll send both card decks and counter sheets to manufacturing. That will be done in four discrete batches: one each for each product, and one order each for the USA and not-the-USA.

With that in mind, here are some example cards, taken as screen shots. I've not finished completely doing the terrain markers (as with the wolf-whale), so they're not 100% done...but they're quite close, I hope!

Complete PDF File Refresh
over 4 years ago – Tue, Aug 27, 2019 at 12:37:15 AM

I  have ship approval for all five adventures as of this morning. There were some labeling and licensing fixes for the title pages of some of the previously-released files...they have been updated as well.

You should see FIVE emails in Backerkit directing you to your new Digital Downloads.

I hope to have the Color Print-them-Yourself files reformatted and ready for download by tonight as well; I'm going to get on that right away, having I hope figured out a good way to do this efficiently.

The files that  you are about to receive represent those that will be sent to the printer Real Soon Now (either in a few moments, or tonight - Latvia being ahead by eight hours means that noon and 11pm are basically the same time.

Nonetheless, this should mark complete distribution of all Five Perilous Journeys. I'll be working very hard this week to close the NPC/Monster Card Deck PDF as well as a re-format and redistribution of the color counter art.

After that, it's pretty much getting the printables printed, and then moved through the world for distribution.

More PDF Distribution
over 4 years ago – Tue, Aug 27, 2019 at 12:36:59 AM

As promised, the more printer-friendly version of the color monster counters file has been distributed.

Also, if you ordered other PDFs (Dragon Heresy, Dungeon Grappling, Lost Hall of Tyr, Hall of Judgment 2e, The Citadel at Nordvorn, or Fanastic Dungeon Grappling) you just got those files too.

At this point, the remaining creative work for final PDF fulfillment is the Card Deck based on Decks of Destiny. The printable files for the actual adventures will go out tonight. I will place the die-cut counter orders in the next few days (might as well).

As you might have noted, I'm working it hard to finish up all promised rewards this week.

Two odd-but-fun milestones
over 4 years ago – Mon, Aug 19, 2019 at 11:16:32 PM

As we approach the true end of the project, with final submission of printable files but days away, we are also creeping up on a milestone, for those who like round numbers.

We're $61 away from raising $10,000 in the post-campaign backerkit phase. In fact, if you look at the actual campaign revenue ($40,108) and the backerkit 'shipping plus pre-orders and add-ons' total (currently $9,939), we have already passed another milestone: my first $50K or higher Kickstarter revenue.

It'll be a few months until the total revenue, cost, and profit picture is really available. I'm still dreading more than a little the process of moving the physical goods around the world, though I've done all the math I can to predict costs. Even so: looking very good.

Two final PDFs out today
over 4 years ago – Sun, Aug 18, 2019 at 03:10:09 AM

I finished up some hyperlinking, formatting, and final checks (I hope!) of Castle Ironskull and Crown of Eternity today, and pushed the files to you guys by Backerkit.

Tomorrow I hope to finalize Citadel of Ice, hyperlink it, and get that out as well.

I am in the middle of the monstrous hyperlinking job that is Vampire Hunter Belladonna, and I also need to get final ship approval for Curse of the Pirate King from SJG. That could take a few more days.

So I will probably push final submission of printable files until all five covers and interior PDFX/4 files are finalized and sent to backers, then I can deliver them all to the printer at once. Once those are approved, I'll pay the down payment to get the printing moving.
